Associate's of Arts, Johnson County Community College, 2008 Bachelor's of Liberal Arts and Sciences, majors Sociology and History, 2010 I did my internship with a grassroots organization that fights to end poverty, both domestically and internationally, by educating people on how to lobby their legislation and policy makers. I believe that has been one of the most important and rewarding experiences of my life, and I love to reach out and educate citizens on how to make positive differences in the world.
Experience
I have tutored high school and college students, and enjoy it very much. I have also assisted in projects for students getting their Masters in topics of International Political Studies and greatly improved grades. I actually have around 200+/- college credit hours, many more than required for my degrees. I took many different classes that were not required, simply because I wanted to learn about the subjects. I loved college and would love to go back for a couple of graduate degrees. I did have to write a thesis to graduate in History, and wrote mine on Sexual Politics in the Eastern Bloc. As far as history, I focused on European and Middle Eastern history, fascism and revolutionary studies. And in Sociology, I did everything from Marriage and Family studies to cultural diversity to sports and US economy.
